INDIAN RESTAURANTS

Indian foods are rich with hot and spicy foods that consist of high amount of fats such as ghee, oils, etc. If you are thinking about maintaining your weight consuming an Indian food, you should better change your option. As the foods are rich in fats, consuming it will definitely increase your weight. Taking it in lesser quantity is not so harmful.

Selecting the food is difficult when you are on diet. Hence, if you are planning to eat Indian foods, you should choose the foods that are cooked in ‘tandoori’ oven or the grilled one. You can try ‘tandoori’ or ‘tikka’ but not ‘tikka masala’. Chicken and prawn ‘jalfrezi’ or ‘dopiaza’ can also be taken. Creamy dishes containing oils should be avoided as there are fats. Some of them are ‘korma’, ‘pasanda’ and ‘masalas’.

Don’t get indulged in ‘poppadums’ if you have ordered meals. They consist of oils as they are fried longer in oil. You can just start with the pickle with lower fats.

Pick up plain rice ‘ratherthan pilau’ or ‘biryani’. If you prefer eating breads then you can just pick up plain ‘chapati’ instead of ‘naan’ as it is oily.

CHINESE

Chinese foods are cooked in a very different way. You may get confused while choosing the food you want to eat. Everything looks tasty and delicious with low fat but that is not the actual case. The vegetables dishes consist of lower fats than that of meat. Avoid fried egg and try sticking with the plain rice.

Also, prevent the items with maximum calories and fats such as prawn toast, take soup. Don’t consume fatty meats; try red meat, chicken which are cooked well in low fat.
